Getting ubuntu 7.0.4

I've tried a number of servers and finally found the torrent list on Ubuntu's site. I just wanted to pass that along in case anyone else was having any problems downloading it. :-)

  1. Thanks! I was actually thinking of trying to get this at some point. I'm sure the peeps on the Torrent network are going to like me sharing this when I'm done... I'm downloading at ~950kB/s currently! :)

  5. It installed just fine in VMWare Workstation 5.5.3. :-) The only weirdness was trying to figure out how to get logged in as root since it never asked me for the root password during install. I finally logged in with the user I created during install and used the UI to set the root password. That's probably documented somewhere, but I didn't find it spelled out clearly.

  6. I'm in Ubuntu now. But I believe I'm going to have to reinstall XP. I'm just going to have 2 separate drives and disconnect the windows drive when I want to boot to linux. I had the same issues with the root password. Ended up using the sudo passwd root command. I'm downloading the Notes client now.

  7. Oh, Notes 8 will install on Ubuntu? I couldn't figure out the install on Fedora Core, maybe I'll give it a try on Ubuntu.

  8. Well... I'm still downloading the file to Ubuntu. I will let you know how the install goes (if it does...) :)

  9. There are some tips in the ND8 forum if you search for ubuntu. I get it loaded, but right before the password prompt NSD kicks in... lol Will keep working with it - reloading XP now though.
